Hi Vogons,

I thought you might find this interesting. I've been trying to get my hands on a Asus USB PS/2 IR adapter for awhile to free up a PCI slot in my P233 build but couldn't find one anywhere. I even found a pile of rocking horse poo and looked though that but to no avail.

So I bought myself the USB adapter instead (which are fairly common) and realised it's the same board (v1.1), so I bought the parts and modded it to include the PS/2 and IR sockets.

Thanks for looking and thanks to:

Awesome, those will work with a lot of the late model Asus AT boards. I ended up with several with the ps2 and ir ports last summer when a friend was clearing out some old stuff.

You totally can adapt normal PS/2 bracket and just ditch USB 1.1 and IR parts. Realistically, you won't need them anyway.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.
