Looks like a PLCC socket for another processor - is that board a combo 286/386SX one by any chance? I'd be willing to bet that's the socket for the 286 since it looks like a 68pin version.

The one between PSU connector and ISA slots is for the keyboard controller, the "Hi and Lo" ones are for the BIOS chips, the brown socket is for NPU (not needed to get the board running) and the lot of 4 x 9 sockets are for RAM. Below there are also 4 additional sockets for SIPP RAM sticks.
There appear to be 2 unpopulated 20-pin DIL sockets north of the FPU socket.

Someone has pulled everything that wasn´t soldered...

Looks like you may also be missing the keyboard controller, over next to the keyboard port. I don't know if the NEAT chipset has it integrated, but most stuff of that age didn't.

Have you done a search over on: http://www.win3x.org/uh19/motherboard/search

You can try looking by chipset ID, so it's quite useful compared to the usual sites which go just by picture or text description.

Yes, these may be the only 2 ones that are difficult to replace. They may be customs ICs or you need to figure out what to use. Are these sockets labeled? Take also a look inside, often the label is covered by the socket itself.

All other missing chips are "standard" and easy to replace.

The PLCC socket is for a 387sx, the two DIP20 sockets next to it could be a problem if they originally housed some PALs, I think identifying the board and finding some other pictures of it (with those 2 chips present) is a must.

Edit: Predator99 was faster 😉

See the parrallels with this one?

Might be a DTK board. The two missing DIL20 chips have probably white stickers with something like "U-XYZ" written on them 🙁

You're missing the keyboard controller ( the chip near the keyboard connector ), the BIOS chips, the ones marked HI & LO , and memory the whole lot of DIP sockets or the four SIP sockets to be able to use that board.

for the memory, if you have some 30 pin sockets laying around you can plug in two of those and slot some 30pin simm modules in there. it will be either U1 and U2 or U1 and U3 or maybe U2 and U4. though be careful to get pin 1 correct. or you could solder some pins to two 30 pin simms so you can stick'm in those sip slots.

I've got a similar board layout here., same chips as well it seems.

Right to repair is fundamental. You own it, you're allowed to fix it.

Very similar, and my suspect that the two missing DIL20 are PLA . no way to find..

Re: 80386 BIOS image collection

That one is without the roms being duplicated in file, since both roms are only 32K each for a combined total of 64KB 😀

Did you get what you needed for this board? I myself have the same identical board. Sadly. I will not be able to revive my board. The machine it was in had a hard life. (Well the same board as weedeewee that is)

Oh.. I wish that was the case here but sadly not. In working with surface-mount repairs for quite a few years this has to be one of the worse damaged I have come across. If you zoom in you can see just how bad it is. Traces are just completely gone. Could I revive it? Yeah. Maybe so with some time (and a CRAP ton of bodge wires). But time isn't on the side of this board. Issue is, someone left the varta and then wrapped an external alkaline battery box right in to the legs of the battery and all of the alkaline leaked out for a double whammy. Oh... I tried to clean the board up. Tried for an hour. But there just isn't much left in the board. The more I removed, the more I lost hope. Maybe at some point I could try to bring it back and video the progress. But I best be caught up on some other more deserving projects by that time haha.
