I'd like to ask if it never happened to you that both the audio and the usb on board ports didn't work while they got recognized and installed correctly by the o.s. both Win ME and linux. No capacitors are gone at least from the top view but could it be that some of them are the reason? In some linux installation I noticed a kernel message "usb overcurrent" or something like that when enabled in the bios. I also tried the latest bios update and nothing changed. This mainboard (Foxconn P4M8907MA-RS2H) is giving me too many problems.
No jumpers are on the pcb for those components. If I insert a USB key or whatever nothing is felt, if I insert an audio jack in the green output hole same thing complete silence.
I must use two PCI cards for those and they work.
Any hints? I didn't notice any broken traces or components and it's strange both components don't work at the same time..
