May I ask why it is so important to you that the CPU containers are droppable? Dropping a CPU is something which barely ever occurs anyway and they won't really need that kind of protection if they are stored properly (like having them not stored in a place where their storage container may be bumped or dropped off from a height).

I guess it's just personal preference. Some people want ESD protection, others want easy access, I want physical protection.
Maybe because I dropped a box of 486 CPUs once and it messed up quite a lot of pins. I don't want to relive that again.
