I know the P4 has not a lot of advocates in our community. Still, for the hawkish way Intel shoved Netburst down our throats, I'd like to compare the different chipsets that support Socket 478 and which I have in my collection (somewhere).

Following chipsets might feature in such a test.

Intel:
- i865G (Asrock P4i65G)
- i945GC (Asrock P4i945GC) - PCIe
- i875P (Asus P4C-800E - Abit IC7-Max3)
- i850e (Asus P4T533(-C))
- i845 (Intel D845WN)
- i845PE (Asus P4PE)

SiS
- SiS650 (Asrock G Pro DDR/SDR)
- SiS645DX (PCCHIPS M930-LMR)
- SiS650 (Asus P4S800-MX)

ATi
- Radeon Xpress200 (Asus P4RD1-MX) - PCIe

In order to have a level playing field, this is the common test I have in mind:

WinXP
64GB SSD SATA via PCI-adapter
2.4 Ghz CPU (400/533/800 FSB)
GPU tests at 1200*1024
1GB of ram where possible

I'd like to put following questions forward to the community:
- GPU suggestions (AGP - PCIe)
- Benchmarks and games to test under WinXP
- Other OS? (Win98SE? - not all chipsets support win98)
