Hey guys

i spent some time searching online for many of the drivers for the Trident videocards.
First i thought it was going to be a VERY EASY job, trident is well known, but turned out it was almost impossible.

See the driver packs from vogons and many other sites are incomplete, these cards used to have drivers for DOS, win3.1 and Win95 and Warp. Spent a lot of time and i was able to find a russian site that actually had most of the files, but some were still missing.

by checking archive.org i went to an specific date back in 1999 on the trident site:
https://web.archive.org/web/19990128165554/ht … s/tgui_tvga.htm

there i saw listed the driver files for each OS. Spent a lot of time on google and ftp searches and found NOTHING
then a russian site actually had most of the files.

uploaded all the drivers that i found here:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/o06ejuwpspt29k … rident.rar/file

i wish someone had this warez cd from 1998, it has so many lost drivers from many other companies too

this website is all scam, it downloads a virus? i wonder why google keeps showing it.

these drivers i was not able to find:

We actually had a hero rip through all of these lately. See this:
https://archive.org/details/xxxxxxx-drivers.com
Feel free to take a look at what's inside to see if it has what you are looking for.

Google keeps showing it because it's old and frequently linked in the ancient past and their SEO is better than average.

It looks like the archive.org link above should have them all, except for maybe 9470JC04.ZIP, based on the Google results!

actually that from archive is incomplete
many folders are missing because they were not able to dump them since they say some links were missing.

so the files i was talking about are missing in the videocard zip file 🙁

The reason is that there were never multi-OS driver packs for these cards to start with. They offered archive files that fit onto a single floppy, per OS only.

I made this archive and sure enough the site I used as a source had many missing files.
Actually it's not really an archive, it's more like a restoration.

However not all hope is lost. If you find a match, try to Google the exe's or zip's name on Google. If that fails you can also try the Id (the name of the page of the driver) on driverguide
