Hello everyone,

I've encountered this Tandon 386sx-16 model TM 7443, in a scrap yard.

It was complete, it starts, but as no battery..

Its a HUGE board.. the cpu comes in a separeted board.. fells like an upgrade board.

The board as several empty sockets and many jumpers.

In order to install a new battery i need to know, how much volts is it? Where is the conector, and what are the vcc and ground pins..

Does anyone have a manual for This computer?

This is the computer

Thank you

There is a Youtube video break down of same computer, it had a 3 cell (4.5-4.8v) battery pack. The negative pin would be grounded so a DVM will find it (no Ohms to any good ground point),
the other pin would be positive. You can use 3 AA or AAA standard batteries. Did you comment about J12 ?

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

J12.. yes.. looks like it should.be the conector. Because This computer doesn't have onboard battery.. just external.. ehatching that vídeo..

J12 as 4 pin.. just.like.a "normal" external header for battery...

Theres another 2 pins just very, very close to J12..

So.. just to BE shure.. 3 pins are negative.. and One should not have conectivity to ground with the multímeter. Right?
