I now have 3 Asus Socket 7 motherboards:

TXP4 with a Cyrix MII PR300 (@233MHz)
P5A Rev 1.04 with a K6-III+ 450 (@600MHz)
P5A-B Rev 1.05 with a K6-2 500 (@550MHz)

All three have been rock solid with excellent performance. I cannot say the same of some other boards Namely my MSI MS-5169 Rev 4.0, Shuttle Hot-597 and Amptron PM-8600B. All three of those motherboards have had issues of one sort or another. The MS5169 did not want to play nice with UDMA modes in Windows 9x. The Shuttle Hot-597 was very picky on SDRAM modules and the Amptron PM-8600B was just plain bad on all fronts. The P5A replaced my MS-5169 and the TXP4 replaced my PM-8600B.

I would interested in hearing about other's experiences with Asus Socket 7 motherboards.

The P5A Rev 1.04 + K6-III+ 400 (OC @ 575) has also been rock solid for me. In fact, all Asus boards that I own have been great.
Then again, most of my other Socket 7 boards (once certain quirks were debugged/sorted out) have been nice and stable:
- DFI K6XV3+/66
- DFI P5BV3+
- Azza PT-5VMD
- Lucky Tech P5MVP3
- Acorp 5TX29
- Zida 5DTX

EDIT: Regarding the P5A Rev 1.04, I just remembered having an issue when initially testing it: it would completely refuse to load Windows. It would also completely refuse to load Windows setup (either from a CD or from the HDD). After some debugging I discovered that the issue was caused by my modernish PS/2 optical mouse (which worked great with any other board before that). I then switched to another modernish PS/2 optical mouse and haven't had any problems since.

I've had several over the years (TXp4 and P55T2P4), beginning with a P55T2P4 that I bought in 2001 to use with a K6-2+ as an inexpensive upgrade to the BiostarVX/Winchip 200 combo I had, and they've all been solid performers for me.
