I purchased an old Compaq Armada 7380MT which works, but I can't get into any BIOS. It has Win95 installed, and there's only one partition. I want to do a clean install, and be able to get into BIOS. From my understanding I need to restore the special DIAGS partition.

1. Can I restore it somehow from CD? This laptop has no floppy drive. All the SoftPaqs seem to be in floppy format.
2. If I have to use the floppy method, will this work in my laptop? It looks like it's about the right dimensions and same Multibay connector.

Not sure if it will work but you could try extracting the softpaq files and creating a boot CD with the files on it.
Otherwise you maybe in luck alot of the multibays's were interchangeable I just cant find any concrete saying this combination works.
Otherwise I'd think a USB Floppy would also work
