Hello VOGONS. I need help for a ASUS A7N8X-VM/400 motherboard. I cannot connect to the internet, despite the fact that the nForce networking controller drivers are correctly installed. The MAC address is 01-23-45-67-89-AB, so that cannot connect to the Internet.
Anyone can help with hard-coding the MAC address and fix it permanently?
BIOS IS revision 1003.

The onboard NIC MAC is not easy to change because it is hardcoded into the NIC module part of the BIOS that does not get updated when you flash a new BIOS into it AFAIK.
ECS has a util for SIS based onboard NIC's but cannot find one for a Realtek based onboard LAN yet.
Some suggest using AMIBCP.exe and pulling the NIC module out and editing it then putting it back in but that could cause checksum error.....
The original MAC should be a a label on the top of the printer port or stuck to the LAN port.

What OS are you running ? Have you looked at https://www.irongeek.com/i.php?page=security/changemac ? or MAC Changer at Maj Geeks ?
or https://www.programmersought.com/article/87584268234/ ?

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun
