One of the recent retro machines I've acquired is a Dell Dimension XPS R400 tower, complete sans RAM and video card, which is no big deal as I have others I can use. I am trying to find any documentation about this particular system and motherboard and I am striking out. Does anybody happen to have any info on these items? The motherboard model number is (I believe) AA 606089-407. I would just like to know the specs such as maximum amount and type of RAM supported, processors supported, etc.

Wow that's awesome, thanks! I didn't even think about trying this or something like the wayback machine. This helps.

Glad that helped, though it probably won't mention that the motherboard (OEM Intel SE440BX) will also support both Coppermine & Tualatin processors using suitable slokets & the latest Dell BIOS (see the attached links)

Tualatin - https://www.roberthancock.com/dell/plip3t/index.htm and https://www.roberthancock.com/dell/plip3t/powerleap-v2.htm
