Hey,

Recently I acquired a Tulip LT 286 laptop with an Intel 80C286 @ 12,5 MHz. It features a Conner CP3024 20 Mbyte Hard Disk and a 1.44 MB floppy drive. It was built around 1990.
It didn't come with a power supply, so I didn't get a chance to test it. In the hopes to get it up and running again I started with a teardown to see the internal state of the device. Here are some of the pictures:

The inside of the laptop. On the top right, the power supply/circuit. It has a 16.5v DC input. In the middle you can see the 20 Mbyte Connor hard disk and the floppy drive.

And the back of the keyboard.

I think it looks quite ok, but I do doubt if the power supply will work. Specially the burn traces around the ceramic resistors and the fact that one of them seems 'broken'.
I know recapping is the default task to start with, but if you have any advice to test the power supply/circuit, please share 😀

Andy.
