Hi

I bought some more Ram for a retro P2 333mhz retro PC.

The existing ram is 64mb total, 32mb dimms 168 pin which were existing, lgs gm72v16821ct10k.

I bought a 64mb SDRAM 178 pin and plugged it in, then I noticed the motherboard sockets locks don't fit...
The ram lines up, fits fine but its actually Taller than existing ram so the socket locks dont reach.

The motherboard is a gigabyte GA-686LX3

Here is the thing.. Yet to run anything intense like a game.... But Windows booted with it stuck in and shows now 128meg ram...

Have I done something wrong and got wrong memory?

I'll try get photos on later.

Thanks and merry xmas
Xx

It still works and got some 128meg ram. Of same model, same height as the 64mb stick as well.. Which is taller than the 32mb LGS sticks it came with... Odd
