Don't worry. I suspect it was a typing error (2138/2139)

I am verry sorry for this stupid mistake! It really was my mistake. Yes, the IBM BIOS is for Aptiva 2139 with V66XA mobo. I've seen that you already added IBM's BIOS to another similar board, but it will not work with it, which is due to my stupid typo. Apologies! Here's link with some pictures of the board's markings - I suppose it can be checked by the FRU number that this board is from Aptiva 2139.

Later I'll attach picture of full board (top and bottom) as I see that there no such for bottom view on site 😉

P.S. I have to edit my stupid misleading error in previous post with the BIOS for IBM's machine.

Edit: I'm attaching the promised better pictures for PCChips M396F (this was the final "photosession" for this board because I'm starting to mod it with charger for 18650 battery) and for the Aptiva 2139's V66XA motherboards. Plus User's manual for M396F board.

I have one of these coming, Besides high res photos is there anything else you would like me to do?

If it has a different bios revision than the one mentioned, a backup of the bios would be welcome as well.
Top/bottom/port pics if possible in a quality we can read the chip marking, yet <8Mbyte each 😀

Thank you in advance

Right of RAM: black 5-pin "PPD" connector for elusive internal UPS called "Power Protection Device", which fits in an optical drive slot and has another 3-pin cable direct to the PSU for input/output of rectified mains voltage

Right of ATX: 3-pin fan connector which is input only (the PSU fan - which on the desktop model doubles as CPU fan - is internally powered, fixed speed, and without feedback), short pins 1 and 3 to use a 3rd party power brick

4-pins connector down from CPU: intrusion switch, CD audio (should be Soundblaster type), internal amplified speaker and its power

The large connectors on the edge are data (PCI?) and power for the optional 2x ISA adapter 😀

Original CPU: Pentium 3 800EB/133/256k, BIOS has a detailed list according to microcode ID

are Laptop Motherboards accepted here - got several loose NEC Versa Motherboards, and I took some nice gut shots of a NanTan FMA3500C taken, as well as pictures of others.

Just a little feedback: The submission of the ASUS P2-99 motherboard doesn't have the BIOS 1013.005 hosted while it is still available on ASUS's website. Ditto for the P2Z which is the P2-99 with hardware monitoring.

Edit:
See this topic for fake cache on this motherboard : Rectron RT-4S3 fake cache
This bios file can be used as the real cache is well detected.

So what happened to "theretroweb" in last few months? If one looks at a https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/fic-va-503
it is missing most of the important info (cpu clock speed only 50 and 66 when we know it does way more than that) and cpu's ?? Just read any of the manuals linked.
I have to rethink my using your website as my first "go to" if you cannot update your info AND this board should have been on updated your website long ago... sigh
And to think you all asked us other members here for help as you built the website...just my opinion...

Well then.

There one's was something called TH99. It was a good source of info, albeit limited in its design, being static info on html pages. So, at some point we built something based on that. That started 4 years ago.

Many of the entries in the current searchable database have been imported an not yet been touched. Because it takes time to update 6000+ entries.

You are free to criticize us for missing/incorrect info.

We will continue to do our voluntary best to get things fixed/added.

"How dare you not put in free work out of your free time for X page and have all the details perfected."
Wow, absolutely despicable attitude.

People like you are the reason why I completely stopped visiting this forum, I simply cannot stand this superiority complex attitude and utter arrogance, the mere fact that you believe you deserve free work from our side and DARE to criticize us because of that says it all.
Go ahead, please, start using other websites to get your info, go back to stason or use a th99 clone, I would rather not have people like you plague our website.

I think I will go ahead and close the submissions thread, people don't seem to appreciate our work anymore, quite sad.

Please don't take someone's opinion as a general view on your work.
What you achieved is outstanding and I'm sure most of us love it and use it on a daily basis

I wish that wasn't the case but unfortunately, he is not an isolated case. This a recurring pattern I've noticed for a while around here.

So, what's the meaning of "[CLOSED]" in the topic's title? No more updates from the given info here?

For example I published this Re: The Retro Web submissions thread: suggest edits and/or add new boards here months ago and I see no interest in updating the database what the provided better pictures. I can publish more pictures, BIOS dumps and datasheets missing on the website, but as I see no interest here I don't waste my time to provide anything. Another thing that turned me off was the non-acceptance of stated corrections regarding incorrect motherboard model information.
