Hi!

I found a Geforce 6800 GT, AGP, used.

Same model as the one showed in the attached picture.

It's not in good aestehetic condition, but I think it's possible to improve.

I have a doubt.

There is a cover, where there is a mermaid, and the Nvidia logo.

Is this cover made from metal, like Quadro FX from this era?

If yes, I'll wetsand it, cause there are too many scratches in this area.

Then, I'll try to polish it, to make it look like a Quadro FX.

Do you think it's a possible idea?

Thank you, folks!

Hey ,

It should be metal plate , you can also print it on self adhesive vinyl and siply put new picture on top of old one.

I've got one with Nula, yes it's metal.

I had one of those 6800s, just one more thing turned into toxic smoke in the Camp Fire. Heavy sigh.

I like the idea of printing the picture and restoring it that way, but aluminum does polish into a very nice finish with a little effort. Engine turning the aluminum would make it truly one of a kind.
