What Win9x game controller(s) are you currently using?

A wired PS4 controller. I should probably save my money and stick with that.

DS4 is also my go-to, for a lot of things. The flimsy microUSB port is the only downside.

There are a few niches where the Xterminator arguably beats it (e.g. 6 primary button layout; not-better-but-different analog stick style; some of it's other niche controls).

But overall it's no competition, the DS4 is a superior controller benefiting from an extra couple decades of big-name design evolution + tech improvements.
