Hello fellow Vogons,

I am trying to build a new retro machine based on Mother board Asus P2B-F.
The MB itself supports 1x and 2x video cards.

I already own from a very old PC Trident Nvidia 4 GeForce MX440-8X D64M GPU which is AGP x 8.

Is it possible and safely to use this AGPx8 card on a AGPx2 slot?
Is there a way or some kind of database in which I can check compatibility of such old components? (I tried to google it but with no luck so far).
