Hello,

I recently put my hands on a Toshiba T3100 gas plasma laptop, seems to work fine overall, except that I have some lines on the display.
Does anyone know what could be the problem? Connectors/cable, capacitors, video chip?

Here is a photo with the problem:

I realize this is an old post but I too have recently started dealing with an old gas-plasma display. The only other guide I have found for the various issues these displays have is here: https://retropaq.com/repairing-gas-plasma-displays/
From the page:
"These two symptoms are quite typical in older gas plasma display panels. Both are caused by faults in or on the driver ICs that line the edges of the rear of the plasma display panel."
It seems that you can potentially open the panel up and check for weak connections or shorts in the chips along the sides of the panel to resolve this.
