Hi Folks,
I'm a bit confused on the topic above, on my Pentium III -866MhZ I was trying to set two sound cards, I do have an SB Live! 5.1, but I wanted to add a second one for some late DOS games.
In this pc, I do currently have an Asus cuv4x-e motherboard, with PCI slots only, therefore I can't install an ISA card (as I planned to).
I think I have two/three options left:
1) Just forget about it and leave the SB Live! 5.1 only, with SB16 emulation (but that works when you launch DOS games on Windows, and not in DOS mode, correct?)
2) PCI to ISA slots, but I've hardly found any, and most of all I'm curious to know if that would work, considering the Asus + PIII
3) SoundBlaster 16 PCI (as an example), but as far as I've read, this wouldn't be that much different than using the SB Live! 5.1, and I wonder if this option is worth at all
Well, I'd welcome any suggestion! 😁
Thanks!
