The NIC works perfectly in WIndows, but any attempt to load the packet driver in MSDOS mode fails. Packet driver for my xircom pocket ethernet works perfectly well.

I'm using the version 6.0 3C509 drivers.

Running the packet driver from the drivers fails with a divide by zero error.

Running the 3c5x9cfg utility also fails with a divide by zero error.

Running the crynwyr packet driver fails to find the card at all, saying the default port is usually 0x110; windows device manager shows the port at 1000 - 103F but attempting to pass 0x1000 didnt' change anything.

I have tried enabling and disabling plug and play OS setting in my P3 motherboard bios with no change.

Any idea what might be up?

PCI?

Is that a 3c509 or a 3c905?

i literally JUST realized I downloaded the 509 packet drivers for 905 card. I was coming back here to hide my shame but you had to reply and immortalize it forever.
