I have mATX Ga6-vmm P3 motherboard. I really like the performance of the system even with built-in video. I just want to save PCI slot and thinking maybe I need to find LAN card for that slot?
But then I read about sharing performance with PCI slot... Should I even bother?
What is the other option to get rid of pci LAN card. I started to use firewire in my SS7 build, thinking maybe I can find firewire - lan converter?
mATX is pretty limited with amount of slots. I want second sound card in there. Absolutely enjoying FM synth by YMF724 card, but want to try AWE64 for fun and experiments with CQM.

AMR can only do modem and sound, and er... i810 integrated sound can't exactly compete with either YMF724 or AWE64. CNR or ACR could do LAN, but that's too new for this board.

But what's in the third PCI slot? PCI LAN+PCI Audio+ISA audio should work...
