I've been looking for more reliable sources for cache chips for my 486 boards, but just getting all sorts of quality issues and I hate trying to narrow down a bad chip (or multiple) when installing. Does anyone know of a way to test SRAMs that isn't $texas?

Follow up question: can I use oversized chips in TAG slot? for instance, 1 bank (4 chips) of 64kx8 chips only "needs" 32kx8 (or whatver it is), could I just populate the tag+bank with all 64kx8 ?
