Are these good for MS-DOS / Windows 3.11? Or are there better options out there as i want to make this machine the best MS-DOS machine it can be.

Sound card is an Ensoniq Soundscape Opus - has its own Wikipedia page - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ensoniq_Soundscape_OPUS

Info on how to install it in DOS - http://dosdays.co.uk/topics/soundscape_opus_dos.php

Others will be able to tell you more about the quality of its sound, I'm no audiophile but it sounded OK to me back in the day (had one in a GW2K P5-166).

Excellent thank you. This is in a GW 2000 P5-100 so it must be a Gateway thing haha!

Sound blaster compatibility good on this? It says on the wiki that they are SB compatible which is good but are there any upgrades which don't cost an arm and a leg (in the UK) as i would like decent sound and most importantly compatibility.
