I have a 440ZX Slot 1 PC with a 850MHz P3, 256MB RAM and 440MX (128bit, 64MB).

In 3DM1999 I get a score of 5746 with 12054 CPU score.

In 3DM2000 I get 5660 and in 2001SE I get 3571.

UT99 default 4 player agony match hovers at around 57fps.

Driver will drop to 30fps at 640*480 max settings

I'm pretty sure the graphics card is capable of a lot more having used it in a P4 XP build. Or is it the p3? Or is it performing normally!

Yes you can be plus or minus thousands of points with weaker or stronger CPUs. Most of these are graphics heavy system benchmarks, rather than GPU only.

If you play "get the most out of GPU" you'll get to PentiumD 3.4ghz or something, then someone will say it's wasting the CPU and you'll go to better GPU, whereupon that is "wasted" with a slow CPU... 6 rebuilds later you're asking how to get it to run Cyberpunk 2077 at 120fps and whether to sell bone marrow or a kidney to pay off the credit card.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

Yeah I get that the GPU is fast for the CPU (it's my only GPU with DVI out) I'm just wondering if the system is performing as it should be...

Sounds like normal numbers to me. UT and Driver are a bit low as they don't really use the HW T&L on the GF4MX, and UT's D3DDrv has some extra fillrate eating overdraw with detail texturing that doesn't appear in glidedrv and both are likely synced to refresh. (IIRC UT's vsync option is reversed)
