So, I recently won a lot of untested i200's and now have 6 working ones.
Since I'm obviously not gonna keeping them all, I decided to experiment a bit with overclocking to find out which one I'm gonna keep.
Test platform was a P55T2P4 with 2x32MB Micron 50ns (set to 70ns in BIOS). Only the good stuff, oh yeah!

3 of them did always crash during boot.
1 did manage to boot into Windows but then crashed and couldn't get back into Windows.
2 are Prime stable at 225MHz (75x3), but won't even POST at 250MHz.

Now I want to try if I can get one of them to run at 83x3.
Can I safely bump the voltage from STD (3.3V-3.465V) to VRE (3.4V-3.6V)? From my personal experience hardware can easily tolerate 10% overvoltage. But I've never overclocked something this old.

I used an ATI Rage II as graphics card, because it was in reach when I was looking for a PCI graphics card for the test. Might the ATI be the reason why I can't get a POST at 83MHz FSB? I also have S3, Matrox and Trident cards.

Yeah p54c would probably be okay with that.

I had a batch of PCCHIPS M571/M569s and some old k5’s

I discovered I could set voltages above VRE by jumpering multiple voltages at the same time.

My k5-133 would overclock to a pr200 at 4 volts

My guess is the original Pentiums wouldn’t hit 250 without quite a bit more juice or sub freezing temperatures but I could be wrong
