Hi,

I have a bit of an odd question because it might not make sense to everybody.
So here is the deal:
I managed to obtain 2 3dfx Voodoo2 cards and put them in SLI in a P3.
Now there is also a Geforce 2 GTS as the primary video card in there.
But I'm not interested in playing games on the Geforce, I'd rather like to tell also all the directX capable games to try and run on the Voodoos.
Is there some way to do this?
I mean apparently they support even directx 7 with the fastvoodoo 4.6 package, so technically that should work right?
I just have no clue how to achieve that.

cheers

Old games usually had menu or switch to choose specific accelerator. Later games can be controlled with 3D Control Center.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

DirectX 7 is only supported by DirectDraw on the Voodoo. If Direct3D for T&L is needed, you'll need the GeForce2. By default, when you install the Voodoo2 (or Voodoo 1), it takes over Direct3D functions. You can modify Direct3D for the Voodoo via registry or use simpler frontend registry update methods like the 3dfx V2 Control Panel update or Voodoo2 Tweaker, both of which are available on this page:

Oh Great!
Thanks for the tips 😀
3D Control Center seems perfect for this.
