I'm having a problem with conner hardrive from 386 laptop I got.
It's a Conner CP2064 from 1992, 60 MB.
When powered it starts to spin but after around 17 seconds it's spinning down. And after a couple of seconds its starting to spin and shut down etc etc etc..
I do not hear heads initializing or moving. The warranty void sticker is damaged, but the gasket around the HDD does not look broken.
It's like the heads cannot move.
Do you know if Conner HDDs suffer from rubber bumpers deteriorating over the time?
Any ideas if the drive is fixable without a clean room?
