Hello. I got yesterday a ASUS DRW-1608P. Drive receives power, is detected in BIOS but it does not eject and read or burn CD & DVD. Didn't hear the seek on boot up, but the BUSY LED lights up. Any advice? I tried refitting the ribbons like I did with a ASUS CRW-5232AS CD-RW drive that didn't spin up and it worked after fixing it.

So. any opinions after 1 month?. I tried anything, reseated ribbons, maybe it needs cleaning from rain or something? Because I believe that the mailman transported it improperly. Also I seen some caps on the board of the optical drive. Should I replace them?

Update!
The laser works, but it won't open the tray. I think about replacing the motor PCB with one from a similar drive, the ASUS DRW-1608P3S, to this DRW-1608P. They look almost same.

i Replaced the PCB with the motor of the tray with one from ASUS DRW-1608P3S. It will not eject. Should I try replacing the belt? I seen that the switch that dictates the load/eject position works.
What it can be?
