I purchased a Yihua 948II de-soldering station a while back and did not get a chance to use it until recently. For some reason I can't get the soldering and the de-soldering iron to work. The hot air part works fine. When I power on the station, the soldering iron temperature stays around 70C and the same for the de-soldering iron no matter what I do. I've double checked that everything is connected properly and everything looks OK. Either I am doing something wrong or the unit is defective.

Anyone out there has the same unit? Am I missing something?

I know, I know, it's a cheap Chinese unit and there are better units out there 😉. I am wondering if there is a cold solder or something on the solder iron side of the unit.
