I have just bought a compaq LTE/286 "as-is" from ebay. Im trying to make a diagnostic diskette to run setup but i cant i tried formatting 720k floppies but nothing works i opened up the laptop to see if there was a belt issue with the floppy but it didnt seem cut and it is spinning. Can you please tell me a way to make a diagnostic diskette or bootable floppy? (i have found the .img files but i cannot make it bootable) And also can you guide me to make ms-dos 3.31 floppies (from .img files i downloaded) so i can install the OS (the HDD is currently blank ) and also when i try to boot it says "Non system or system disk error replace and press any key when ready"
