I have the following PC with dos 6.22 and windows 3.11

Now I have the following problem that when I install the sound drivers the floppy version for the awe32 (http://vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=2 … &menustate=37,0) the midi sound sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes when I turn on the computer it works, other times it doesn't. I have set all dna channels and the irq to default.

If I install the CD version (https://winworldpc.com/product/sound-blaster- … d-blaster-awe32) then the setup crashes after checking the hhd space and when it has to give the page where I can set the dma channel and the irq. Very occasionally I get the driver installed and then the sound card works fine including midi sound.

Who can explain to me why the midi sometimes does not work with one driver and why the other gets stuck in the setup.
