Hi together,

I am currently building a retro PC from my old hardware components. During bootup, it shows a message that the CMOS battery is empty. I found out that I need to replace a whole chip for this (Dallas RTC).

However, I was not able to identify my mainboard 100%. It definitely turns out to be an "PC Chips" mainboard. I cannot say if it is M560, M560TG or M565.

Here is an image of my mainboard (yes, I am going to remove the dust 😀 ):

As you can see, 4 PCI and 4 ISA Slots. This should be an M560, because M560TG/M565 only have 3 ISA slots. But on the other hand, there is the AMI BIOS id string. During bootup, my mainboard shows the following string:

51-0505-001437-00111111-071595-M1531/43-001_10_TX_PRO-H

(Please also note the different BIOS dates in the two pictures: 1997 and 1995)

According to all lists (*) I've found so far, the mapping of BIOS strings is the following:

M560 v3.1: 51-0505-001437-00111111-071595-M1531/43-01-10-TX-PRO-0
M560 v4.1 : 51-0505-001437-00111111-071595-M1531/43-01-10-TX-PRO-0
M560TG : 51-0505-001437-00111111-071595-M1531/43-001_10_TX_PRO-H
M565 : 51-0505-001437-00111111-071595-M1531/43-001_10_TX_PRO-H
M565 v1.2 : 51-0505-001437-00111111-071595-M1531/43-001_10_-H

Here's my problem:
The mainboard layout says: M560
The BIOS string says: M560TG or M565

Can anyone help me? I want to flash the latest BIOS and need the correct mainboard name for this 😀

Thanks in advance and greetings from Germany!
