So, I have an Olivetti M240 which only has a single serial port and that's what I'm currently using to connect a mouse to it.

Some time ago I saw a local ad for a Olivetti mouse that is the exact model that would have been used with this PC back in the day, so I bought it even though I have no way to plug it into the computer at the moment. The mouse looks like this, and is manufactured by Logitech, model P7-F-2A.

I have the chance to buy a Microsoft InPort adapter card like the one pictured below, but I have no idea if it will be compatible with the mouse, and I have zero experience with bus mice. It seems they should be compatible, since the plug is exactly the same, but I would appreciate if someone more experienced could confirm or deny this.
