Dear members,

I found out so far that DMA clock speed should be around isa bus/2 = ~4mhz

Questions:
- is there any benefit from higher dma clock speed?
- I run mine currently at 6MHz. My Adaptec SCSI BIOS test runs fine up to 5,7mhz dma speed. Then I just changed my dma clock to 12mhz (=ISA bus speed SYSCLK) Booting was ok. But adaptec scsi Tests weren’t successful on anything above 5,7mhz. Even 6,5 was not working. And never was. Why is that? Do I mix up things ?
- update: I noticed that IDE speed increases from 2mb/s to 2,86mb/s (fast 160gb drive). Shortly checked with NU SI
