Hello,
I would like to buy a socket 7 PPGA Intel Pentium w/MMX Tech which top surface is not ceramic. Like SL27S model with 296-pin PPGA (FV80503233).
Can I use a "normal" socket 370 cpu cooler like Startech FAN370PRO or similar? I'm concerned about the components that are exposed on top surface.

Regards,
M.

My first PC had Windows 98 os.

Hello.

Yes, I have one of these StarTech coolers and it can be used on a Socket 7 CPU without any issues.

Also have a variation of this cooler. Works great for 233 MMX. Just added more silent fan (~3000-3600 rpm).
