Hi all I'm going to talk about a subject that is not very old school but that may become so in not so long as that.

Recently, I decided to tackle an ultimate win7 platform.

The platform that seems the most interesting to me is the x266. On older OS like win98Se as long as you have the drivers of the card the cpu will be compatible.
(After some games we have problems with a high speed of horoge but it is not related to the bone). Here in my research, I came across a list of win7 compatible CPU.

Intel® Core™ i7-7800X
Intel® Core™ i7-7820X
Intel® Core™ i7-9800X
Intel® Core™ i9-7900X
Intel® Core™ i9-7920X
Intel® Core™ i9-7940X
Intel® Core™ i9-7960X
Intel® Core™ i9-7980XE
Intel® Core™ i9-9820X
Intel® Core™ i9-9900X
Intel® Core™ i9-9920X
Intel® Core™ i9-9940X
Intel® Core™ i9-9960X
Intel® Core™ i9-9980XE

my card received an update to add the i9 10900X series.
Is anyone already testing to put one from this series on Win7?

I would like to ask this question here because this subject may be of interest to others.
Excuse me if this talks about hardware too recent.

I’ve got an i9-10980XE, I guess I could try Win7 on it.

It’s X299 by the way, not X266. In my case it’s X299X on my Gigabyte X299X Aorus Master.
