Hey all, I was looking at getting a 486 machine up and going and I found a Am486DX2-66V16BGC processor I was thinking of using but when I look at motherboards and there jumper settings it gets a little confusing. this specific model is never mentioned. I know its 3.3V so there is the first thing to watch out for, but then I wasn't sure if I just set it to the same as other amd DX2 jumper settings which there is usually a couple differnt jumper settings to for amd DX2 cpu's. Then this cpu also supports write back cache which honestly from what I understand about the 486 era Write back doesn't have much benifit so I'm not to concerned if it runs in write through mode. Anyways I realize I don't have a specific mother board to share with but I just thought I'd see what experience others have and if anyone had any guide or even example motherboard with proper config to see if that helps 🤣.
