Hi, i have Compaq LTE 5100 Pentium 90 Mhz 8mb integrated ram. I want to install more ram on it. I have tried every possible ram module i had, ordered few more from ebay, does not work either, the computer only shows internal 8mb of ram. Thats all, tried to check bios, cmos battery is dead and removed, the ram slot is clean, everything inside looks like normal. Can someone point me to the right direction?

Far as I can find, the LTE 5000 Series (including your 5100) all use the same memory boards, so you'd be looking for...

At the very least, the 16MB Compaq part should work OK then...did you run the required Computer Setup (F10) after installing the memory expansion boards?

Yeah, but it does not detect modules.
