I wanted some glide in my slocket1 P3 800MHz, it worked once after applying iceman drivers, now I'm stuck at grey screen (Quake2) or black screen. Did my card die or I'm doing something wrong? Honestly it's not a dealbreaker as I have other, more correct machines for Voodoo 1s, but I found this one lying around so I thought I'll use it.

The card itself has printed only 3Dfx VOODOO. Other, main GPU, is GF4 4200Ti 64MB.

Yes, it's too fast for a Voodoo 1. You'll find plenty of references in the forum about this

Well, but messing around I found the issue and glide games work, obviously only 640x480 resolution. With official refference drivers it doesn't work but iceman version does. The culprit was dirty pins on PCI connector. 😁 So I guess it'll be better to leave it as spare one? I heard, and I'm not sure it's true, with machines above 500MHz Voodoo 1 may burn. Is it real?
