Hello guys!
Have found a riser card from an old Tulip PC (unknown model) - its 2xPCI and 2xISA 16bit config.
Do you think this can be used as a riser card for Abit AB-PB4 mobo PISA slot?
I know I can try it and see but I don't want to short it out if that is possibility, and I remember that there were several different busses made in the same form factor - EISA/PISA/Opti local bus slot - but electrically incompatible..

How can I safely check it works without ruining the board?

You can start by making sure that all the correct voltages are present on the correct pins, it's not hard to do it without power on or plugging the riser. You need a multimeter on beep/continuity mode and the layout of the isa/pci slots https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industry_Standard_Architecture and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peripheral_Comp … nt_Interconnect see to which pins of the riser are the voltage and ground pins from the isa/pci slots going. Then measure the female slot on the motherboard on those pins for the same thing.
