I am going to install Windows 98SE on a Compaq Armada 7730MT.
The laptop has an OEM Windows 95 and softwares from previous owner.
Usually I backup the OEM wallpapers and driver installers (if any).
Are there any files I should backup before clean install?
i'd guess drivers and any software that had been installed that you still want - other than that its not really necessary
also win98se does a fairly good job of both recognising and having drivers for various hardware of the time and thankfully there are often plenty of drivers still around
Maybe the OEM logo and info in the System's properties?

Interesting, I just google searched how to get those info. Looks Windows can also have a OEM customized startup screen.
