i don't know how well publicized this is, but there is a dos port included with disk genius (https://www.diskgenius.com) that allows for basic (copy, move, delete) ntfs file management under dos.

i know it works with msdos 7.0/1 and i presume it will work with msdos 6.x; although, it may not work with older video cards as i have a laptop with a c&t 65545 that throws up a graphic mode error.

there are professional and freeware disk genius versions, but the dos port is always free so i attached just it here (with all the files included as-is). i imagine the windows port has the same ntfs functionality under win9x, but i never tried it.

I cannot get it to work under DOS 6.22 in PCem with Trident TVGA9000B video card.

Constantly looking for the driver for Acer Magic v1 MPEG decoding card.

Works with the computer specified in my signature. Looks that it uses a 32bpp video mode that older video cards didn't support.

Using MS-DOS 7.1, from a Windows 98 installation.
