So had two leaky caps on the motor board of a floppy drive. In my haste I took to the hot air and removed them before I checked their value. C104 looks like 4.7uF/25v and that measure appox that on my meter, however C111 shows no uF on the meter and to my old eyes looked like 220uf 25v, however the drive motor does not work and I can't seem to find any other faults. Do you think this cap could have been a 22uf/25V Does anyone have this model of drive and could check?

I have two of that drive! One of them even works and is going to get packed into storage soon so I know where it is 😁

Here's what the caps are on mine, also replaced and I didn't record the original values, but they'll be somewhere around these values:

I think it may have been 22uf since I like over-rating capacitors in this not too critical stuff.

Hope that helps, good luck getting the drive working and be careful if removing parts to avoid losing the track 0 sensor calibration or upper/lower head calibration, those are not fun to fix.

Awesome. Thank you so much for the picture and info Thermalwrong. Your right i think 22uf must have been the original value for c111. If your drive is still out and handy you mind to take a quick picture of your jumper config so i can compare what my jumpers are set to just to rule that out?

Appreciate the picture of the jumpers. Mine are set exactly like yours. I went ahead and put a 22uf cap on c111 instead of the 220uf I had on there and still didn't make any change with the motor turning on. When I have a disk in the drive and have the non bootable disk message press any key... I can press the space bar and hear the heads try to move and the light comes on, but no motor activity. On a hunch I replaced every electrolytic on the pcb and that didn't change anything either.
