I'm having no luck with any of the usbaspi drivers I found, both the onboard USB as well as the VIA VT83C572 PCI card, MS-DOS 6.22.
The Panasonic USB 1.0 driver seems to find the host (VID=8086h PID=7112h) but finds no drives during scan.
Iomega UHCI driver finds the host and detects my flash drives (different brands 1GB drives, as well as a very old 128MB drive, all formatted FAT-16), and recognizes their size, and assigns a drive letter, but DOS fails to read them when I change drive (typing "D:" at the prompt, or changing Norton Commander view to it).
I found and tried these:
All you need for USB mass storage support in pure DOS, fast!!!

No luck with either.
