I measure the gnd pin on the plcc68 . Except pin 1 in the picture. The connection between plcc68 and plcc28 is the 50 to 7. That's all I've managed yet 😀

you can post pin numbers instead of taking 9mpix pictures 😀
If im reading it right ground is on pins 1 4 10 22 25 etc? that excludes 53C400, also not AIC-6250 http://www.bitsavers.org/pdf/adaptec/asic/AIC-6250_1988.pdf not NCR53CF94, not Future Domain TMC-850/TMC-950

A few of those Gnds match a 6260 but not enough, unless pin count got off in the 50's.....

I think I need a new pair of glasses. The counting in the picture above is wrong. Sorry
Correct is :

GND: 4,10,22,50,56, 64,68

Common
51 -> 7
58 -> 9

GND fits perfectly to the AIC-6260 P

try to find out all the connections later

This is getting exciting 😀 cant find bare chips, but according to one ebay seller selling $22 "Adaptec AHA-1520 S8 AIC 6260 Iomega SCSI Board" AHA-1520 is a potential source.

Nice ! Grounds seem to match, can you check pins 16 and 48 to +5v ? just wondering about pin 4 : X1 input read as ground....I never tried ohming a crystal so not sure what to expect....
and board has a 20Mhz XTAL which matches the 6260 datasheet at bitsavers

pin 16 and 48 have +5V That looks very good . As soon as I have an AIC-6260 I will continue testing.
Is the AIC-6360 pin compatible? I can hardly find any information on the internet.

Metal can is a clock gen, in that case one leg goes to ground. better yet clock gen goes to pin 6

I have now ordered a 6360 via ebay US it will probably take a few weeks to arrive.
One question about the Terminator. Is 18-Line compatible with 14-Line ? There is UC5601 but also UCC5614 or UCC5618. The SCSI connector at the back is a 25pin SCSI interface
