I don't think Radeon 7500 is a card from 2000, rather from 2001! Also I think the CPU and the board, while very good , are actually from 1999 - that makes your build the 1999 dream machine.
I also got a Slot A build that I hope to finish some day: the same Athlon 700, 512mb of SDRAM, geforce 256DDR, Abit KA7 motherboard.

Which OS did you go with? If it's not Windows ME I'll be very disappointed 😉

CPU was launched in november 1999, so it counts for 2000 (was commercially available then). Radeon is from 2000, and ASUS K7M was one of the first mainboards for Athlons. As for ubiquituous SB Live! 5.1, I have just 1 different soundcard with same abilities, a less known Philips PSC703, but was marketed later, '02 or '03. If Philips improved the drivers, that chip would have been a SB killer. Unfortunately, it was a half ass attempt for them.

Neah, went with evergreen 98SE. Never liked ME, installed it once, tried&tested it, after a week I went back to 98.

CPU is second generation of Athlon slot A, I checked its S/N.
Now that I am almost finished with this, I will focus on my next build, a Chaintech motherboard socket 370 with a Celeron CPU and onboard sound ESS Solo. Think I will put a Voodoo on this.

Case should be beige but this one has a "semi accurate" AMD Athlon sticker... maybe the II stands for second gen?
Not that I can talk nothing I own is period correct.

I like my Slot A, its not as stable as the Slot 1 but it' not as common either.

It was my main case for many years and the sticker is from an actual Athlon II tri-core, which is a 64bit K10 socket AM3 CPU that I had for some years since 2012 before I replaced it with an AMD FX6300 CPU, at the same time that I replaced the case with a Zalman Z9 U3 with low positioned power supply, side access to HDDs, CPU temp display and 4 front USB (2 USB2, 2 USB3). That case has an AMD FX sticker, even if inside is now an Intel i5 7500, Gigabyte Gaming 3 Intel H270 motherboard.
I always customize my computers, last factory/shop built one was a Compaq Prosignia 300 which was meant as a cheap server for small business; CPU (In my case a Pentium 90) and 16 MB soldered RAM were on a separate board, and had 6 72pin FPM/EDO RAM slots on same board, onboard Cirrus Logic 5428 512kb RAM video, onboard SCSI2 controller, 2 PCI and 5 or 6 EISA slots. No onboard IDE, so for my IDE CD-ROM I used the IDE port of my then soundcard, ESS1868. Also used an external jukebox NEC SCSI CD-ROM with a 7 disk capacity.
When I said second generation slot A K7, I meant it; first generation was 250nm, second was 180nm. They shrunk the fabrication. Third generation aka "Thunderbird" was in slot and socket A versions, then followed the Athlon XP, socket A only.

Specifically Radeon 7200 is the 2000 Radeon. 7500 is a big improved iteration from the year after, ditto for the budget-minded 7000 iteration.

AFAIK, 7500 is just a process reduction of first Radeon, from 2000, so it counts for 2000, even if it was launched in 2001. Same with 99/00 Athlons. And 7500 became a budget part when 8xxx series appeared, until then was king of the hill. Maybe not so fast as a GeForce 2 GTS, but not far behind it.

Tested the system with some very demanding games from 2000-2003. It works well with any Quake 3 engine game, old Unreal flies, yet to try Dungeon siege.

Phuc... Tried again Unreal Gold. IMO, that game needs a Voodoo to really shine, any other 3D card is bantha poodoo. So, I will put 2xVoodoo2 in SLI in the system.

It's at least 100MHz higher and can beat the Geforce2 Ultra at a bunch of things...

It is best to come for the retro for free, and I got a lot of hardware on myself.

I switched to Intel and did some work with 2 BX based boards; some of the best. Abit BH6 and ASUS P2B. On Abit none of my slotket adapters work, so the fastest CPU which works on it is a slot 1 Pentium III Coppermine 600E.
On P2B my slotket Soltek (say that fast 3 times) works perfectly, put on a P III 1GHz, mobo has a setting for 133 FSB and 33 PCI, so no overclocking for AGP and PCI bus. The CPU cooler I choose blows air laterally onto video card (GF4 MX). Need to dismantle and clean the insides of the fan, is quite noisy; Nothing that isopropylic alcohol and a spray of WD40 won't cure.
