Hello all,

My attempts to install plop always fail.

1. install via standard dos full installation:
- fails at first step: store backup (or similar). The hard disk spins down and up and after the 5th cycle I receive the error message.
- fact: that drive spin off and spin on is the same that happens during boot up after I installed my XT-IDE bios. Never had that before.

2. install via no-backup dos full installation (2nd executable with c at the end)
- all messages are green and ok
- when rebooting I receive the message „missing boot rom“ or similar. It’s written in this large font Textmode style you receive in case of bad hw failures
- booting then via floppy shows that the disk is fully inaccessible. I have to rewrite the MBR then.

Any ideas?
