the board I am flashing: https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/fic-486-gvt#bios

Is there a particular flash program just for this particular bios and motherboard cause I was told that this would be the ideal forum to discuss this. I was also told I can try the AMI rom bios as well as the Award bios on the website I just linked.

This board, like most older boards of this era, looks to use an EPROM. Not an EEPROM. You'll need to erase it with UV light and then use an EPROM programmer to write the new bios.

You will need an UV eraser also though. It’s a really bright UV light. Not like a black light or sunlight. It’s very intense.

Yep, that's what I use.

A cheap source of UV erasers is UV sanitizers for your Toothbrush. I got one for $19 and it's rechargeable so I can set it up where I'm working. It has a real UV-C bulb in it so it erases much more quickly than UV-B erasers.
