Hi all, I have been gaming on my 486 DX2 66 a lot lately but mostly playing games through windows. I tried to play a couple through DOS recently (Wolfenstein 3D , Microcosm)
and notice that the mouse wont work. I have a mouse driver installed, and if needed i do have a PS/2 Mouse I can plug in, but I want to use this nice serial mouse.
Why would it not be working ?

Thanks

Try changing the address/IRQ in the BIOS. You can also change the port for the connector.

Well what mouse driver are you using? MS Mouse? CTMOUSE? Have you checked the usage instructions on the driver to make sure you're selecting the right port? You have to do basic troubleshooting yourself or at least give us all the info, otherwise we can't say anything to you except "idk try a different port or something"

Great ideas. Ill start with changing the port, then checking the IRQ in the BIOS.

I just moved it to the other port and it works fine in both windows and DOS now. Thanks. Simple solution, but I think im too sick this to think straight so thanks for the reply
