Slim optical IDE extension

Hi,

I've got a slimline IDE optical drive along with a sweet bay adapter for my desktop to put it in.
The only problem is the read of the drive is a bit recessed so the slimline IDE to IDE adapter I'm using (similar to https://www.startech.com/en-fi/hdd/opt2ide) doesn't fit.

Does anyone know of an extension cable or board for sale the would act as an extension?

Well, I found a more creative solution.
I guess I'll leave it here instead of deleting it, in case anyone else is ever in a similar situation.

If you ever get this https://www.sybausa.com/index.php?route=produ … &product_id=407, the top is easily removable with a few screws.

The back plate is more troublesome, but if you use a pliers to bend it back and forth at the 90 degree bend from the bottom plate, it'll eventually snap right off.
And the resulting edge is only like 2% sharper than the other edges inside a retro pc case.
